Biopolis Buzz?

fmd_good Biopolis

So, I'm heading to Biopolis next week for a conference. It looks seriously futuristic from the pictures. I've heard whispers about hidden cafes tucked away between the research buildings...like secr… more

Biopolis is pretty sterile, yeah, lots of glass and steel. Forget secret speakeasies, you're more likely to stumble upon a lab rat than a quirky cafe. Your best bet is heading out to the nearby areas – there are some decent cafes around the Buona Vista MRT station. You'll find more variety and atmosphere outside the Biopolis campus itself. I'd suggest checking Google Maps for cafes near Buona Vista – you'll probably find something better than a corporate canteen. Good luck with the conference!

Camwood Park Mysteries?

fmd_good Camwood Park

So I'm heading to Camwood Park next week, it's for a friend's birthday get-together. Heard it's pretty chill, but the description online is...vague. Anyone know the best way to get there from the M… more

Camwood Park is a bit...out there. The MRT isn't super close; you'll probably need a Grab or a taxi from the nearest station, maybe Botanic Gardens? Google Maps can be screwy with bus routes in Singapore sometimes, it's true. As for hawker stalls, your best bet is probably to head towards the Bukit Timah area – there are a bunch of great options a short taxi ride away. Char kway teow? You'll find it. It's Singapore, after all. Don't worry about the ghost town vibe; it's just quiet during the day. It probably livens up in the evenings. Enjoy the birthday bash!

Thanks for the tips! Botanic Gardens MRT it is then, sounds like a plan. Char kway teow is definitely on the menu – you've sold me! Didn't even think about Grab, I should've known better, haha. Fingers crossed the evening brings some life to the park, otherwise it'll be an interesting birthday... Appreciate the heads up about the bus routes too, Google Maps can be a nightmare sometimes.
