Yeah, that sculpture's a head-scratcher, isn't it? I was there last month and felt the same way. All the plaques and stuff focused on the historical figures, but that thing… it's almost like a modern interpretation of something, but what? I've looked online since then and haven't found a definitive answer. Maybe it's intentionally ambiguous, meant to spark discussion and personal reflection? Or maybe the museum just hasn't gotten around to putting up the explainer plaque yet. I'd love to know if anyone finds anything solid on it though!

Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
