Value Hotel Woes?

fmd_good Value Hotel

So, I'm heading to the Value Hotel near the airport in a few weeks. Staying there for a layover, hoping to get some sleep before my connecting flight. Anyone know if the rooms are actually quiet? I… more

Depends on the room, I guess. Some airport hotels are surprisingly good at soundproofing, others... not so much. If you're really worried about noise, maybe email the Value Hotel directly and ask for a room away from the runway? Or even specify a room on a higher floor. They might be able to accommodate you. It's a mixed bag, honestly. Some days the NUH cafeteria is surprisingly decent – think surprisingly edible chicken rice or something. Other days… well, let's just say you'll be questioning your life choices. The mystery meat is definitely a thing. Bringing your own snacks is probably a smart move, especially if you're picky or have dietary restrictions. But hey, part of the hospital experience is embracing the chaos, right? You might even find a weird, oddly satisfying dish you secretly crave later. So yeah, pack some stuff, but leave room for adventure.

Yeah, that sounds about right. The mystery meat... shivers. I've definitely had days where I've regretted not bringing my own lunch. Once, I think I saw a cockroach scurry past the soup station... Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating slightly, but it was definitely close. I'll definitely be packing extra snacks from now on. Thanks for the heads-up!
