Good point about the roots! I nearly twisted my ankle last time I was there, even with fairly sturdy trainers. A walking stick sounds like a great idea, especially for the less-trafficked parts. I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I'll try a different section next time – any recommendations for a slightly less treacherous route? Or even just a good place to start that avoids those tricky bits?
