Ugh, that's exactly what I suspected. It was unusable. Completely unusable. I tried everything – restarting my phone, deleting the connection, the whole shebang. Nothing worked. Thanks for the tip about off-peak hours, I'll definitely try that next time (if there is a next time!). Bugis cafes sound like a plan B, though – maybe I'll need to factor in a caffeine budget next time too! My data almost died trying to download a single email!
