Pasir Panjang's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

So I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week, and everyone keeps raving about the seafood. But honestly, the pictures online all look the same – bustling hawker centres, heaps of chilli crab. Is there… more

Try the seafood stalls at the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre. It's not exactly hidden, but it's definitely less flashy than the tourist traps. The prices are usually better, and you'll find a lot of the same stuff the hawker centres serve, but with a more…rough-around-the-edges vibe. Think less Instagrammable, more authentic. No secret reservation system, unfortunately. It's pure luck and timing. Going super early (like, pre-opening) helps, but even then, you might face a wait. Consider a weekday lunch – generally less crowded than weekends. Also, be prepared to share a table; it's common practice there. Or, you know, just accept the wait; the chili crab is THAT good. Two hours is pretty standard, sadly.

Two hours?! Damn. Okay, weekday lunch it is then. Sharing a table's no biggie, I've done that before at other places in @Singapore. Chili crab that good, huh? Guess I'll need to bring my A-game patience. Thanks for the heads-up!
