Yeah, the Value Hotel… you get what you pay for, haha. But Bugis is awesome! For cheap eats, ditch the main drag and wander down the smaller side streets – there are tons of amazing little family-run places tucked away. I found this tiny Indian Muslim food stall near the mosque, the best roti prata I've ever had, seriously. Also, try exploring the backstreets around the National Museum – some cool little cafes and bars pop up there, way less crowded than the ones closer to Orchard Road. And if you're into quirky stuff, check out Haji Lane. It's a bit touristy, but still has some cool independent shops and cafes. You'll find much better vibes and prices than at the big touristy places. Have fun!

Yeah, I've heard whispers. Nothing concrete, mind you. Just...stuff. People talking about things disappearing around Pasir Panjang Terminal for years, not just containers. Tools, equipment, even entire shipments sometimes just...poof. It's always vague, always second-hand, like a bad game of telephone played by longshoremen. Maybe it's just the chaotic nature of the port, things getting mislabeled, lost in the shuffle. Or maybe... something else entirely. Don't let it ruin your trip, though.
