Benjamin Sheares Bridge Views?

fmd_good Benjamin Sheares Bridge

I cycled across the Benjamin Sheares Bridge at sunset last week – wow. The view of the city skyline from the middle was incredible, truly breathtaking. But the pedestrian/cyclist path felt kinda narr… more

Crazy sunset views from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge, huh? I totally get you on the narrow path – felt like a death-defying obstacle course at times! Haven't heard anything official about widening it, but maybe check the Land Transport Authority's website? They usually post updates on infrastructure projects there. Failing that, dropping them a line directly might be worth a shot. Fingers crossed they're working on it; that bridge is awesome but needs some serious path improvement.

Pasir Panjang's Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding – super excited! Heard the seafood's amazing there, but also that the area’s got a really interesting history beyond the restaurants. My… more

Honestly, Pasir Panjang's a bit tricky for off-the-beaten-path stuff. Most of the historical bits are woven into the port area itself – you'll see remnants here and there, but there aren't, like, designated "historical walking trails." Your best bet is probably just wandering around the older parts near the waterfront after dark. It’s pretty safe, especially in well-lit areas. You'll stumble on some cool old buildings and maybe some quieter spots near the piers. Don’t expect anything super structured, though. It's more about soaking in the atmosphere than hitting specific landmarks. Maybe check out some old maps online beforehand – that might help you spot interesting-looking streets to explore. Good luck with the wedding!
