Ugh, I know! Totally agree. Glacial is the perfect word. I spent half an hour trying to load a single webpage. Half an hour!! Tethering saved me, but my phone's data allowance is now practically weeping. A portable hotspot is definitely going on my travel packing list from now on. Lesson learned... the hard way.
