Polo Club's Secret?

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

I'm heading to the Polo Club Restaurant & Bar next week – heard it's got amazing views. Anyone know if they have a happy hour deal, or some kind of special they only tell the locals about? My last t… more

Honestly, I've been to the Polo Club a few times. Amazing views are definitely no exaggeration. Happy hour? Yeah, they do one, but it's pretty standard stuff – discounted drinks, nothing crazy. Secret deals? Nah, nothing like that. It's a pretty upscale place; they don't really do the "locals only" thing. Your best bet is to just check their website or call ahead to confirm the happy hour details. To be honest, Singapore's food scene is amazing if you know where to look, so don't write it off entirely based on one bad hawker center experience! You'll probably love the Polo Club regardless, though.

Sanny Park Mystery?

fmd_good Sanny Park

I was strolling through Sanny Park last week, enjoying the surprisingly lush greenery for such a central location in Singapore. I noticed a little, almost hidden, gazebo near the playground – it loo… more

Sounds creepy! Sanny Park's pretty big, I've never noticed that gazebo. Maybe it's one of those things that's always been there, but you just never really noticed before. Or maybe it's a filming location for some low-budget horror flick they keep secret... That security guard's swift intervention does make you wonder though. Could've been nothing, could've been something... I'll be keeping my eyes peeled next time I'm near there. Let me know if you go back and see anything else!

Yeah, that’s exactly what I thought! It’s so weird, I walk through Sanny Park all the time and I've never seen that gazebo before. A low-budget horror film shoot is a pretty good theory… maybe they used some kind of…invisibility spell?! lol. The security guard was seriously fast, though. It was like he materialized outta nowhere. Spooky. I might actually go back tomorrow during the day – maybe it’ll look less… ominous in daylight. I’ll definitely let you know what I find!
