That's a really interesting take! I hadn't thought about it being removed as part of a renovation. Makes sense, I guess. Singapore is all about efficiency, lol. The ghost of progress is a pretty apt description, though kinda sad. I’ll definitely check out the National Archives, thanks for the tip! I figured there might not be any spooky ghost stories attached to it, but a bit of history would be cool. Maybe grandma was just messing with me when she told that story... or maybe not!
