Biopolis Buzz?

fmd_good Biopolis

So I'm heading to Biopolis next week for a conference. Heard it's all gleaming glass and cutting-edge science, but I'm worried about finding decent, affordable lunch options. Is there anything beyon… more

Nah, Biopolis is pretty sterile lunch-wise, gotta be honest. The corporate cafeterias are… adequate. Your best bet is to head out. There's a decent hawker centre a short MRT ride away at Buona Vista – plenty of local flavour there and way cheaper than anything inside Biopolis. It shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes round trip, tops. Just factor that into your schedule. Otherwise, you're looking at pricey cafe options nearby, which kinda defeats the purpose of a quick lunch.

The Botanic Gardens are huge! You'll definitely find spots away from the throngs. Head towards the rainforest section – it's less manicured, more overgrown, and has some seriously cool, secluded spots. The paths aren't always super obvious, but that's part of the adventure, right? Bring bug spray though, seriously. Those little critters are everywhere, especially near the water features. And yeah, forget the perfectly-pruned lawns; you'll find some pretty amazing flora and fauna if you explore a bit. Good luck getting those Instagram shots!
