That's great advice! I hadn't thought about exploring the residential areas near the MRT. Sounds like a much better way to get a feel for the place than sticking to the main tourist spots. Telok Blangah Road sounds interesting too – I'll definitely check out some of those less flashy bars. Thanks for the tips!
