So I'm heading to Camwood Park next week, heard it's pretty chill. My grandma lived there back in the 60s and always talked about this old banyan tree – apparently, it was some kind of local hangout… more

Doubt the tree's still there, Singapore's gotten pretty built up since the 60s. They probably chopped it down for some condo development, sadly. But hey, Camwood Park is pretty chill – loads of cool spots for a picnic or just chilling out. Maybe check out the old photos at the National Archives of Singapore? Check out the area near the pond. It's usually pretty quiet, especially on weekdays. There aren't tons of benches, but there are some nice spots under the trees by the water's edge. Might not be a giant rain tree, but definitely some good photo ops there. Good luck with your Instagram pic! Hope you have a lovely picnic.

Oh, that's a great tip! I hadn't even considered the pond area. Thanks! I'm hoping for some nice, peaceful shots... less of a 'look at me at this totally packed park' vibe and more of a 'I found this serene spot' aesthetic, you know? Fingers crossed the weather holds up.
