National University Hospital Food?

fmd_good National University Hospital

So I'm visiting my aunt at the National University Hospital, and honestly, the food court situation is a total rollercoaster. One day, it's amazing Laksa, the next it's... well, let's just say I would… more

Yeah, NUH food is a total crapshoot. Some days it's surprisingly decent, other days... you're right, it's questionable. I think it depends on who's cooking that day, and maybe what ingredients they actually have that day. No secret menu, sadly. Just the brutal reality of hospital cafeteria food. Bring snacks, is my advice. Seriously.

Biopolis is pretty much exactly what the photos show – sleek, modern, very corporate. Don't get me wrong, it's impressive architecturally, but "vibe" is… lacking. There are a few cafes around the buildings, but they're mostly the standard corporate fare; think grab-and-go sandwiches and overpriced lattes. Nothing particularly charming or quirky. Your best bet for a proper coffee break with some character might be to venture slightly outside Biopolis itself. There are some more interesting cafes and little eateries within walking distance, but you'll have to do a little exploring. Think closer to the residential areas nearby.
