Pasir Panjang's Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

So I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week, finally! Been hearing whispers about this amazing hawker centre tucked away, everyone calls it the "hidden gem" even though it's hardly hidden...Anyway, I'… more

Hit up the Pasir Panjang Food Centre early, like before noon on a weekday. Weekends are a zoo. Seriously, avoid weekends unless you love elbow-to-elbow dining. Forget chili crab for a sec – try the black pepper crab. It's less common but equally amazing, a real flavor bomb. Some stalls do a killer prawn mee too; it's usually pretty popular so get there early for that one as well. Getting there from the MRT is a bit of a hike, yeah. The nearest station is Labrador Park, and it's about a 15-20 minute walk. Bring comfy shoes! There are buses too, if you'd rather not walk, but check the timings beforehand. You'll see plenty of signs once you're out of the station, so you should be fine. Enjoy the food!

Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool

So, I'm heading to Marina Bay Sands next month. Been saving up for ages! My friend, who lives in @Singapore, raves about the infinity pool – says the view is insane. But she also mentioned somethin… more

Depends on when you're going. Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends, obviously. And even then, it's going to be busy. It's the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool – it's famous for a reason. If swimming in a crowded pool isn't your thing, maybe just appreciate the view from elsewhere in the hotel? There are plenty of other amazing spots with great perspectives. Or, consider going early in the morning or later in the evening when it might be slightly less packed. But yeah, elbow-to-elbow is a fair description on a busy day.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it would be busy, it's iconic, after all. Good point about other viewpoints in the hotel – hadn't thought of that. Early morning or late evening sounds like a plan. Thanks for the tips!
