Yeah, the Orchid Garden's popularity is definitely a double-edged sword. Stunning orchids, but the crowds can be brutal. Weekday mornings are your best bet for fewer people – think before 10am. Also, explore the rest of the Botanic Gardens! There are other quieter sections, like the Ginger Garden or the Evolution Garden, that are still beautiful and less packed. They might not have the sheer orchid variety, but they offer a much more tranquil experience. Honestly, even just wandering further away from the main Orchid Garden pathways can make a huge difference.

Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
