Singapore's public transport is seriously good – MRT and buses are super efficient and way cheaper than taxis. You'll be fine navigating it; just download the Citymapper app, it's a lifesaver. For the quieter side of Marina South, forget the mega-resorts. Check out the Telok Blangah Hill Park – amazing views, hiking trails, and it's usually pretty chill. Also, wander down to the Harbourfront Centre area; it's a bit older, less flashy, and has some decent local food courts tucked away. You'll find more authentic Singaporean vibes there than at the resorts. Don't be afraid to just explore the smaller residential streets around the area – you'll stumble upon hidden gems, I promise. And yeah, smaller hawker centres are scattered around; look for ones away from the main tourist drags. Google Maps is your friend here, but be open to just getting lost a bit – that's how you really find the cool stuff.

Nah, mate. Forget the speakeasy. Pasir Panjang Terminal is all cranes and containers. Unless you're a dockworker with a secret handshake and a penchant for smuggled durian, your chances of finding a hidden bar are slimmer than a supermodel's chance of surviving a buffet. You'll be lucky to find decent kopi let alone a clandestine watering hole. Stick to the hawker centres after work – much better odds of a good time.
