Get there early. Seriously, like ridiculously early. Think "before the birds even think about chirping" early. Rhu Cross is notorious, especially for sunset views. Weekdays are better, but "better" is relative. You might also try circling the carpark a few times, sometimes people are just leaving as others arrive. Good luck! Your friend's sunset BBQ better be worth the parking battle.

Honestly, that's a Singaporean seafood problem! Seafood Paradise is that popular. My go-to is bringing a large, sturdy, reusable container. Ask politely if you can transfer the leftovers into your container. Most places are cool with it, especially if you're not taking a ton. Failing that? Grab some extra napkins and carefully wrap the crab. Then, use a plastic bag and tuck it inside your tote bag to avoid spills. It's less ideal, but it's better than leaving that deliciousness behind!
