Go early, like really early. Sunrise might even be better than sunset, less people for sure. Or try going on a weekday, mid-morning perhaps? The crowds are definitely a factor there. Also, think about exploring the areas around the bridge. Maybe there are smaller parks or overlooks nearby offering similar views with less of the throng. You could even try looking at maps for less-trafficked paths leading to vantage points. Sometimes a little exploration pays off big time with a secluded spot.

Ugh, Value Hotel in Singapore? I stayed there last year. The wifi was... inconsistent, to put it mildly. Some days it was fine, other days I'd be wrestling with it for hours. It's definitely not a place to rely on for crucial work. If you need reliable internet, seriously, spring for something else. Your sanity (and deadline) will thank you.
