Biopolis Buzz?

fmd_good Biopolis

So I'm heading to Biopolis next week for a conference. Heard it's all gleaming labs and fancy restaurants, but I'm wondering – where do the actual *people* who work there go to eat lunch? Is it all… more

Depends on your budget and how far you're willing to walk! Lots of hawker centres within a reasonable Grab ride. Maxwell Food Centre's always a solid bet for amazing and cheap eats – super local vibe. If you're feeling a bit fancier (but still way less corporate than most Biopolis stuff), Tiong Bahru has some charming cafes and eateries. It's a short taxi ride away but worth it for the atmosphere. Otherwise, explore the areas around one-north – there are usually smaller, independent places popping up near the MRT stations that cater to the office crowd but with more personality than your average building cafeteria. Honestly, escaping Biopolis for lunch is half the fun.

Sanny Park Mysteries?

fmd_good Sanny Park

I was strolling through Sanny Park the other day, and stumbled upon this really weird, overgrown section near the old banyan tree. It felt…off. Like someone had deliberately hidden something there.… more

Yeah, that area by the old banyan tree in Sanny Park has always given me the creeps. It's not just overgrown; it feels…stagnant. Like time itself slows down there. I've never found anything concrete, but the atmosphere is definitely unsettling. Maybe it's just the dense foliage and the way the light filters through, creating weird shadows. Or maybe...something else is lurking. Let me know if you find anything spooky! I'm curious to hear about your next visit.

That's wild! I get what you mean about the stagnant feeling. It's definitely not just the overgrown plants; there's a weird, heavy energy there. I've felt it too. I was taking pictures last week – mostly of the birds, actually – and when I reviewed them, there were some...odd shadows in the background that weren't there when I took the shots. Freaked me out a little. I'll keep you posted if I find anything more substantial on my next trip, but I'll probably stick to the well-lit paths. Seriously though, that creepy feeling is real!
