Pasir Panjang's Ghosts?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang Terminal

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang Terminal next week for work. Heard whispers from an old timer about the place being haunted – apparently, it used to be a much busier port before the new ones were built,… more

Nah, I haven't personally encountered any ghosts at Pasir Panjang Terminal, but the old stories are definitely…colorful. It's a pretty atmospheric place, especially at night. The whole vibe you described is spot on. Think less terrifying poltergeist and more…melancholy echoes of the past. Like, you might get a sudden chill or feel a weird presence, but nothing outright scary. Maybe some unexplained noises? It's more about the historical weight of the place, y'know? Lots of people worked there for years, their lives intertwined with the docks. Their stories are still there, even if you don't see actual floating longshoremen. Just be aware of your surroundings, and you'll be fine. Bring a flashlight though, it gets pretty dark after sunset.

The views from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge are pretty spectacular at night, no doubt. However, some of the best photo spots are on the bridge itself, and they involve being pretty high up. If heights really bother you, you'll probably be happier viewing it from afar. There are plenty of parks and areas along the waterfront where you can get decent shots without having to feel like you're about to take flight. Maybe check out the Esplanade – the views from there are also amazing, and it's definitely much more ground-level. You'll still get a killer shot of the bridge!
