Rhu Cross Conundrum?

fmd_good Rhu Cross Car Park

So I'm heading to Rhu Cross Car Park next week for a photoshoot, it's supposed to be a great spot for sunset shots overlooking the water. Anyone know the best time to go to avoid total chaos and act… more

Weekends are a nightmare, you're right. Aim for a weekday evening, maybe a Tuesday or Wednesday. Sunset times vary, so check a weather app closer to the date for the precise time – you want to be there at least an hour before, maybe even an hour and a half to get settled. Parking's a lottery, even then. For post-shoot grub, head towards the Dempsey Hill area. It's a bit of a hike, but offers a much wider variety of cafes than you'll find immediately near Rhu Cross. Plenty of places there will do a mean kaya toast and kopi-o. You could even treat yourself to something fancier after a successful shoot! Good luck with the photos!

Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding. Heard it's a pretty chill suburb, but the directions are... cryptic. Everyone keeps talking about the "hidden hawker center" and the "s… more

Hah, Pasir Panjang! It's less "labyrinthine" and more "charmingly disorganized." Forget the "hidden" stuff – that's mostly marketing speak. The hawker center everyone's raving about is pretty easy to find, just look for a cluster of food stalls near the main road; it's usually bustling. As for the "secret beach access," it's more like a less-obvious path down to a small, public beach. You'll probably stumble upon it if you wander along the coastline a bit – it's not exactly a closely guarded secret. Just use Google Maps for the main stuff, and embrace the slightly chaotic charm of exploring the smaller streets. You'll find things organically. Don't sweat the "hidden gems" angle; just enjoy the less-frantic vibe.
