That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of the hawker centres. Lots of old timers hang out there, so I'll definitely try chatting them up. I'll be sure to take pics if I find anything... even if it's just a really disappointing patch of regular chilli plants. The mystery is half the fun, though! Thanks for the advice.
