Six hours?! Wow. That's brutal. I had a friend who waited almost as long at NUH for something equally minor – a nasty cut on her hand. They eventually just slapped a bandage on it and sent her home. I guess the "lottery" analogy is spot on. Maybe I should just start carrying a first-aid kit with me at all times… and a whole picnic basket.
