Weekdays are generally less busy than weekends. Trying a bit earlier in the evening might help too, before the full-on rush hits. Evenings are obviously the best for the light show, but even then, you might find a slightly less hectic experience if you arrive a little before sunset. Think about that.

Yeah, NUH parking is infamous. It's a total cluster. There aren't really any "secret" lots; it's just always busy. Your best bet is to arrive super early, or maybe try using Grab or a taxi. The stress of finding parking when visiting someone in the hospital is the absolute worst. Hope your aunt recovers quickly.
