Pasir Panjang's Hidden History?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a work trip, and stumbled across some old photos of the area's WWII history. They showed a completely different landscape than what's there now...all those… more

Wow, that's a fascinating angle on Pasir Panjang! The WWII history there is pretty intense. The National Archives of Singapore should have a wealth of information – photos, documents, maybe even maps showing the old military layouts. They're usually pretty helpful with research requests. You could also try the Singapore History Museum; they often have rotating exhibits and might have something relevant. Failing that, hitting up some local history societies might unearth someone who's done some digging into the area’s past, or even a knowledgeable enthusiast. Good luck with your hunt! It sounds like a really rewarding project.

Polo Club Mystery?

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

Nah, you're not alone. That place has a vibe. Expensive, pretentious, and...haunted? I wouldn't go so far as to say haunted, but definitely unsettling. The service is impeccable, almost too much so; it feels staged. Maybe it's the decor, all dark wood and hushed whispers. Or maybe it's just the price tag giving me anxiety. But something's definitely off. I've only been once, but I got a similar feeling. Didn't see a ghost though, just felt...watched. Like I was in a scene from a movie about rich people with secrets.

Totally get that. It’s like they’re trying too hard to be exclusive, you know? The whole atmosphere is… suffocating. Impeccable service? Yeah, felt robotic to me. Like they’re all reciting lines from some training manual. And the hushed whispers… creepy. I swear I saw a waiter almost trip, and then the way he recovered, super smooth, like he'd done it a thousand times before. Almost like he knew something was wrong, and had to hide it perfectly. I wouldn't call it haunted, but it definitely felt... engineered.
