Yeah, the satay is legendary. I've been a few times and the service fluctuates wildly. Some nights it's impeccable, other nights... yeah, you waited forever. I've heard whispers it's a staffing issue; they rely heavily on part-timers, apparently. So it's a bit of a gamble, but the food alone... totally worth rolling the dice.

Yeah, Value Hotel wifi is notoriously bad. I've heard complaints about it for years. It's a shame, because the location is pretty good. Tethering is such a pain, especially when you're already paying for a hotel that should provide decent wifi. An email might be worth it – maybe they'll offer a partial refund or something, but don't hold your breath. Next time, look at the reviews on sites besides just booking.com... those are often more detailed and less filtered.
