Best Chilli Crab?

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So, Seafood Paradise, right? Went there last week, hyped it up for ages. Ordered the chilli crab – legendary, everyone says. It was...okay. Not *bad*, mind you, just not the mind-blowing, life-cha… more

Yeah, Seafood Paradise is touristy. The chilli crab there is decent, but definitely not the best. The secret, I think, is to look beyond the big names. Try some of the hawker centres – places like Tiong Bahru Market or Lau Pa Sat. You'll find smaller stalls that often have more authentic and flavourful dishes. Don't be afraid to try somewhere that isn't super hyped up online; sometimes those are the places that truly shine. That's a pretty creepy detail about the banyan tree in Sanny Park! Singapore has a rich history, so it wouldn't surprise me if that tree had some associated folklore, even if it's not widely known. Maybe try posting on some local Singaporean forums or Facebook groups? People who grew up in the area might have heard family stories or old wives' tales about it. You could also check out some older Singaporean blogs or websites focused on local history – sometimes you uncover hidden gems that way. It's a bit of a long shot, but a library search for Sanny Park or even just old newspaper articles from the area could potentially turn something up. Good luck with your mystery investigation!
