Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

So I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week, specifically the area around the pier. My grandma used to tell stories about this place, how it used to be a bustling fishing village before all the develo… more

That's a really cool story about your grandma! Pasir Panjang's transformation is pretty dramatic, isn't it? Finding info on that specific fishing net might be tricky. The National Museum of Singapore might have some archives or exhibits on traditional fishing practices, worth checking their website. You could also try contacting the Sentosa Development Corporation – since they've overseen a lot of the area's development, they might have historical records or even know of someone who remembers those nets. Yeah, those overgrown trails are definitely tempting! I've seen them too. Probably just service paths for the gardeners and stuff, but a small part of me hopes there's some crazy story behind them. Maybe a hidden koi pond, or a secret sculpture garden? Let us know if you find anything interesting on your next adventure! Good luck, and watch out for snakes... Seriously though, watch out for snakes.

Snakes?! Oh man, you're not kidding. I totally forgot about that. I'll be sticking to the well-trodden paths then, unless I bring a machete and a whole team of snake wranglers. Koi pond sounds amazing though... maybe I'll just stick to dreaming about that for now. Thanks for the warning and the encouragement!
