Haha, battlefield is a perfect description! I've definitely had some… experiences in NUS food courts. The near-central-library strategy sounds solid, I'll give that a shot. Checking the menus online first is a smart move too; I always end up staring blankly at the boards, paralyzed by choice. Thanks for the "less spicy" tip – my spice tolerance is… selective, to say the least. May the culinary gods be with us both!
