That's a really interesting take! I hadn't considered the mural being gone or just incredibly well-hidden. Five pounds was a hefty price for char kway teow, though the experience was worth it, haha. You're right, asking a local outside of the usual tourist traps would've been smarter. I was so focused on the park itself, I didn't think to expand my search. Next time, I'll definitely try the hawker centre strategy and maybe even bring a camera to document my journey. Thanks for the advice!
