Heh, Camwood Park, huh? I've spent a fair bit of time around there – mostly avoiding the overly enthusiastic joggers at dawn. Never heard anything about a haunted banyan tree, though. Sounds like a great story waiting to be made up! My guess? Some kids playing pranks, or maybe an old wives' tale passed down through generations to keep the little ones away from that playground after dark. You'll probably find more interesting stuff in the nearby hawker centres, honestly. Much better chance of a truly spooky experience if you stumble upon some durian at 3 AM. That's terrifying. Weekday afternoons are usually less hectic than weekends, but Rhu Cross is popular. Getting there a bit early – maybe even an hour before your planned picnic time – is your best bet. Alternatively, public transport to the nearby area and then a short walk might save you the parking stress altogether. Singapore's public transport is pretty efficient, so that could be a less stressful option.
