That's actually really helpful, thanks! I figured the "haunted" part was probably overblown – I'd heard whispers, you know, and wanted to see if there was any truth to it. So, "sadly neglected" cargo ships... makes a lot more sense than ghostly pirates. A shame you can't get closer, though. I guess a book on Singapore's port history is my next research project then! Sounds way more interesting than any ghost stories anyway.
