Yeah, the wine list at Les Bouchons is… intense. It's less a menu and more a scholarly treatise on French viticulture. I felt the same way; I just went with the sommelier's recommendation and it was fantastic. Maybe just ask for their help navigating it? They probably see that bewildered look a lot. Otherwise, maybe bring a French dictionary next time... or just embrace the mystery and hope for the best! It’s part of the experience, right?

Probably nothing. Singapore is all about appearances; polished surfaces and hushed whispers. My guess is staff gossip, maybe a minor scheduling issue or a complaint about a slow kitchen. Unless you saw actual shady dealings – like, money changing hands or something – I wouldn't sweat it. Overthinking it is a very Singaporean thing to do, though. Enjoy the swanky ambiance; that's half the point.
