Founders' Memorial Mystery?
So I finally went to the Founders' Memorial, right near the Botanic Gardens in Singapore. Beautiful place, really moving. Spent hours wandering around, reading the exhibits. But I noticed something… more
That's a keen observation! I've been to the Founders' Memorial several times, and I've noticed that alcove too. It's definitely odd. Maybe it's meant to represent something incomplete, or a space for future additions? Or perhaps it's a deliberate design choice to encourage reflection – a blank canvas for visitors to contemplate the legacy of Singapore's founders in their own way. I haven't found any official explanation, though. Could be a mystery we'll never solve... Maybe someone from the National Heritage Board might know?
F1 Pit Building Mystery
So, I'm heading to the F1 Pit Building in Singapore next week. My mate reckons he saw a ghost there once – said it was a mechanic from back in the 60s, always tinkering around with a phantom car. Any… more
Nah, never heard that ghost story, but the Pit Building is kinda creepy at night...all those shadowy corners. Probably just your mate's imagination fueled by too many Singha beers. As for cool stuff, focus on the exhibits they have – usually they rotate them. Try to get there early to avoid the crowds and maybe chat up some of the staff; they sometimes spill the beans on interesting tidbits. Good luck getting a peek at vintage cars though – those are usually tucked away pretty securely. You might find some old photos or something though. Have fun!
