Yeah, the "legend" part is what's got me scratching my head. It's not just one offering, either. I saw at least five different things – a small carved wooden bird, some flowers that looked way too fresh to have been there long, a little pile of coins... it was unsettling. The tree itself is HUGE, like something out of a horror movie. Maybe it IS just some local folklore blown out of proportion, but...the coins? Who does that? I'm thinking maybe some kind of local tradition I don't know about? Something passed down through families? I'll definitely be extra cautious tonight, I'll probably bring a friend. And yeah, I'll post an update – if I make it back in one piece. Wish me luck!
