Ugh, Value Hotel wifi? Yeah, that's a legendary struggle. I've stayed there a few times for early morning flights, and it's always a digital desert. Sacrificing a goat is a good idea, though I've had better luck with bribery – bribing the front desk with extra-sweet smiles and promises of a glowing online review (that I usually forget to leave, oops). Seriously though, there's no magic bullet. Your best bet is probably to just accept the snail-paced internet and maybe download whatever you need beforehand. Or, if you're really desperate, hunt down a nearby cafe with better wifi and treat yourself to a kopi. Next time, splurge on a slightly nicer hotel near Changi – the difference in internet access alone might be worth it.
