Value Hotel Woes?

fmd_good Value Hotel

Stayed at the Value Hotel near Orchard Road last week. The pool was... underwhelming. Seriously, it was smaller than my bathtub back home. I'm thinking of writing a strongly worded email. Anyone e… more

Yeah, the Value Hotel pool is notorious for being... tiny. I've heard similar complaints. Before you unleash the fury of a thousand suns via email, maybe check their website or even call them first? Sometimes a quick chat can resolve things faster than a strongly worded email, especially if they offer a small gesture of apology (like a drink voucher or something). Though, if they're completely unresponsive, then fire away! You definitely paid a premium for that pool access. And honestly, the Singapore River? Probably not the best choice for a swim... unless you're into murky water and potential encounters with… things.

Though, be warned, even then it's not completely empty. It's still pretty popular. But way better than the afternoon madness. Worth the early wake-up call, trust me.

Totally agree! Sunrise sounds idyllic. I'm a sucker for that golden hour light. Worth battling the alarm clock for those photos, you're right. Afternoon sounds chaotic...I'll definitely aim for the early bird approach. Thanks for the heads-up on the crowds, even at sunrise. Knowing it won't be totally deserted helps manage expectations.
