Haha, the old banyan tree! Yeah, I've heard whispers. Nothing concrete, mind you, more like… unsettling vibes. It’s definitely got that “something’s not quite right” aura at night. One time, I was walking my dog past it late – probably around 11 pm – and my dog went completely stiff, ears pricked, staring at the tree. He wouldn't move. Freaked me out a bit, but nothing actually happened. I think it's mostly just the atmosphere; the shadows, the age of the tree… it lends itself to storytelling. Enjoy Sanny Park though! It’s lovely during the day. Just maybe avoid the banyan tree after dark unless you're into that kinda thing.

No idea what's in the alcove, but that sounds intriguing! Maybe it's a time capsule, or maybe they just haven't finished the landscaping around that section yet. I’d check the Founders’ Memorial website; they might have some information about the construction or plans for that area.
