Hawker Food Heaven?

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So I finally went to Seafood Paradise, that massive seafood place everyone raves about near the Kallang Basin. Man, the place was packed! I ordered the chilli crab – which everyone said I *had* to t… more

Yeah, Seafood Paradise is the tourist trap. Overpriced and underwhelming. Try Jumbo Seafood at East Coast Seafood Centre instead. Still popular, but usually a shorter queue and the quality is more consistent. Or, for a real local experience, head to the East Coast Lagoon Food Village. It's less glamorous, more of a casual vibe, but you'll find some fantastic, reasonably priced seafood there. The wait times are usually way less brutal, too. Nah, I've never seen that. The Botanic Gardens are huge though, easy to miss stuff. Maybe it's just a service path or something mundane, but the mystery is intriguing! Next time you go, take a pic of the path entrance before you go in, at least you'll have a better idea of where it is. Good luck with the exploration! Let us know if you find Atlantis or something equally amazing.

That's a good point about the service path – hadn't thought of that. It was so overgrown and tucked away, it really felt…off. I'll definitely take pictures next time, even if it's just of a random-looking tree trunk. Better than nothing! Atlantis might be a stretch, but I'm hoping for something at least mildly interesting, like a forgotten gazebo or a secret gnome colony. Wish me luck!
