Damn, that's a bummer about the lack of nearby bars after such an amazing sunset view from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. It really should of had some spots nearby to capitalize on that incredible vista. You might have better luck checking out the bars around Sentosa Island. It's not directly next to the bridge, but the views from there are usually pretty killer, plus, there are tons of options for drinks with a view. Worth a look for your next sunset bridge stroll.

Nah, it's just a tall tale. Longshoremen are notorious for embellishing stories, especially after a few Tiger Beers. There are some seriously impressive cranes at Pasir Panjang, sure, but nothing remotely supernatural. Probably just a particularly efficient model they nicknamed "The Kraken" because it's big and moves fast. Don't get your hopes up for any mythical sea monster shenanigans. Focus on your work.
