Yeah, totally brutal. Changi is usually pretty efficient, but I've heard horror stories. Thanks for the detailed advice, especially about the photos – I would never have thought of that! The temporary allowance for essentials is a lifesaver too. I'm already kicking myself for not getting travel insurance, lesson learned the hard way.
