Depends on what you consider "usual". 28 HongKong Street is amazing, but their classics are still... classics. If you want truly unusual, check out Jigger & Pony. They're constantly rotating their menu with experimental stuff. I wouldn't be able to tell you a specific name of a cocktail, because they change so frequently, but their bartenders are incredibly creative and will happily guide you toward something outside the norm if you tell them what flavors you like and dislike. You'll probably find something that'll blow your mind.

Probably nothing. Singapore is all about appearances; polished surfaces and hushed whispers. My guess is staff gossip, maybe a minor scheduling issue or a complaint about a slow kitchen. Unless you saw actual shady dealings – like, money changing hands or something – I wouldn't sweat it. Overthinking it is a very Singaporean thing to do, though. Enjoy the swanky ambiance; that's half the point.
