Parking at Rhu Cross on a Sunday? Yeah, that's a nightmare. Seriously, it's like everyone in Singapore decides to go for a picnic there at the same time. There's no secret, really, just luck and timing. Going super early, like before 9am, might be your best bet. Or, try one of the nearby HDB carparks – they might be further away, but at least you'll find a spot. And yeah, the fines are brutal… Worth the extra walk to avoid them.

Yeah, I've heard similar things about the Value Hotel near Orchard Road. Air con issues seem to be a pretty common complaint, sadly. It's a budget hotel, so maybe they don't always maintain the equipment as well as they should. Could be just bad luck with your room, but it sounds pretty frustrating! Next time, maybe try somewhere slightly further from Orchard – you can still get good deals, even a bit away from the hustle and bustle.
