Biopolis can be a bit of a food desert, yeah. The cafeterias are... adequate. But for something beyond that, you'll need to venture out a bit. Plenty of hawker centres are within a short Grab ride – try the ones around Buona Vista or One-North; they're usually packed with locals, which is a good sign. You'll find all sorts of amazing and affordable dishes – from laksa to char kway teow. It's a much better bet than anything near the conference venue itself. Prepare for some serious flavour explosions. You won't regret it!

Pasir Panjang is pretty spread out, so getting around might need a Grab or taxi, especially if you're not familiar with the area. As for the hawker centre...that's tricky. Locals are notoriously tight-lipped about their favourite spots! But I'll give it a shot. Try looking near the Pasir Panjang Food Centre area. It's not always super hidden but it often gets overlooked by tourists. Look for places with lots of locals – that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. Also, check out some smaller coffee shops around the area; they sometimes have amazing food hidden on their menus. Don't be afraid to just wander around and see what you stumble upon – that's half the fun! You might find something even better than your friend described. Good luck with the wedding!

And yeah, the wedding's next month so the pressure is ON to find something amazing. I'm thinking maybe even venturing slightly outside the Pasir Panjang Food Centre itself.
