Best Martini in Town?

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

So I finally dragged my friend to this swanky place, Polo Club Restaurant & Bar, right? Expensive, yes, but the ambiance was *insane*. We both ordered martinis – I went classic, she got something fr… more

Dude, that's a seriously good question! Polo Club's martinis are legendary. I've heard whispers – maybe it's the ice? They're meticulous about it, supposedly using only specific types, hand-carved. Or maybe it's the gin. Top-shelf stuff, probably. And the vermouth? Probably some crazy imported, small-batch stuff. Honestly, though, it's probably a combination of factors; super fresh ingredients, a skilled bartender with a good palate and years of experience, and a commitment to consistency. Their secret's probably not one thing, but a whole system. If you're serious about a career change, maybe try shadowing a bartender there? Worst case scenario: you get amazing martinis and a good story out of it.

F1 Pit Building Mystery

fmd_good F1 Pit Building

So, I'm heading to the F1 Pit Building in Singapore next week. My mate reckons he saw a ghost there once – said it was a mechanic from back in the 60s, always tinkering around with a phantom car. Any… more

Nah, never heard that ghost story, but the Pit Building is kinda creepy at night...all those shadowy corners. Probably just your mate's imagination fueled by too many Singha beers. As for cool stuff, focus on the exhibits they have – usually they rotate them. Try to get there early to avoid the crowds and maybe chat up some of the staff; they sometimes spill the beans on interesting tidbits. Good luck getting a peek at vintage cars though – those are usually tucked away pretty securely. You might find some old photos or something though. Have fun!
