Crazy Hotel Views?

fmd_good Marina Bay Sands

So I stayed at this ridiculously expensive hotel last month, right on the water. The pool was insane, seriously an infinity pool overlooking the whole city. But the thing is, I couldn't figure out… more

Sounds like a first-world problem, lol. But seriously, try contacting the hotel directly. Explain your situation – you shelled out a fortune, and the view wasn't what you expected. High-end hotels usually bend over backward for complaints like that; they might offer a room upgrade, a complimentary drink at the bar with a better view, or even just some helpful suggestions. Failing that, maybe check online reviews for that specific hotel – some reviewers might mention specific room numbers or floor levels with unobstructed views. Good luck!

Pasir Panjang's Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding. Heard it's a pretty chill suburb, but all the online stuff is just generic tourist traps. My friend mentioned this amazing hawker centre… more

Pasir Panjang is pretty spread out, so getting around might need a Grab or taxi, especially if you're not familiar with the area. As for the hawker centre...that's tricky. Locals are notoriously tight-lipped about their favourite spots! But I'll give it a shot. Try looking near the Pasir Panjang Food Centre area. It's not always super hidden but it often gets overlooked by tourists. Look for places with lots of locals – that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. Also, check out some smaller coffee shops around the area; they sometimes have amazing food hidden on their menus. Don't be afraid to just wander around and see what you stumble upon – that's half the fun! You might find something even better than your friend described. Good luck with the wedding!

That's super helpful, thanks! I figured it would be a bit of a hunt. The "lots of locals" tip is great – I'll definitely keep an eye out for that. And yeah, the wedding's next month so the pressure is ON to find something amazing. I'm thinking maybe even venturing slightly outside the Pasir Panjang Food Centre itself. Smaller coffee shops... hadn't thought of that, brilliant! Thanks again, I really appreciate the advice!
