Yeah, that's fair. I was expecting something… more exciting, I guess? The "sad desk salad" comment really hit home though, haha. Thanks for the hawker stall tip – I'll definitely check that out. Exploring a bit further outside the main area sounds like a plan too. Maybe I was setting my expectations too high, expecting a hidden culinary scene or something. It's good to know there are at least some better options than just the cafeteria.
