Value Hotel Shower Pressure?

fmd_good Value Hotel

So, I'm staying at this hotel near the airport. It's...convenient, I'll give it that. But the shower pressure is WEAK. I mean, pathetically weak. Like trying to wash a rhino with a water pistol wea… more

Yeah, Singapore hotels can be a mixed bag. Some are amazing, others... less so. Weak shower pressure isn't unheard of, unfortunately. It's probably not a broken sprinkler system though, more likely just low water pressure in the building itself. I've had similar experiences in older hotels, especially. Don't feel bad about asking for a different room—or at least mentioning the issue to reception. They might be able to offer something with better pressure, or at least apologize with a complimentary drink or something. Good luck!

Pasir Panjang's Ghost Ships?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang Terminal

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang Terminal next week for work, and I've heard whispers about abandoned cargo ships left to rust there. Are there any particularly interesting or spooky stories associated… more

Yeah, the Pasir Panjang ghost ships are a thing. Lots of old freighters and barges out there, definitely a bit eerie, especially at night. I wouldn't call them "haunted" per se, more like... atmospheric. The rust, the creaking… it’s all very evocative. Safety first though. It’s industrial, so be aware of moving vehicles and equipment. Don't trespass onto any private property – there are probably security guards around. Stick to the publicly accessible areas. Daytime is probably a better bet for photos; you'll get better light and it's less creepy. As for stories... I've heard whispers of smugglers, lost sailors... you know, the usual stuff. But I'm not sure how much truth is to any of it. Probably just old wives' tales amplified by the location. Still, a cool spot for some moody photos if you're careful. Good luck, and maybe bring a friend!
